[Important notice]

Issuance of Chip Cards
(The launch date of Chip Cards has been decided. Click here for the details.)

We are preparing to start issuing Chip Cards to meet the expectations of our card members as we have received numerous enquiries about them.

Since you need to use your Chip Card by entering the PIN which is known only to you, it will not only increase the effectiveness of preventing fraudulent use of a credit card, but also make the settlement simpler without requiring your signature.*1

We are planning to send Chip Cards to the members who already have Diners Club Card in the card renewal month tentatively starting from May, 2016.*2
You will be able to continue using your current PIN even after your Chip Card is issued (you could also change your PIN to one you want to use).

If you have forgotten your PIN, please set a new PIN soon.

Please check below for setting or changing your PIN.

  • *1: You may be asked to provide your signature instead of your PIN even with the Chip Card at some merchants.
  • *2: When you are newly enrolled in Diners Club Card or you need to replace a lost or stolen card, it will be switched to the Chip card from April 18, 2016 (planned). The official date for the rollout of Chip Cards will be announced on our website on April 1, 2016. Furthermore, we will inform you as soon as the issue date of JAL Diners Card is decided.
